A Focus on College Fit

Walberg College Counseling was founded on the belief that each student deserves to find a college community where they will thrive socially, emotionally, and academically. With over 5,000 colleges and universities in the United States, it can be hard to know which schools are a good fit.

That’s where Walberg College Counseling comes in. Nicole works with the entire family to identify colleges that are strong matches that fit each student’s needs. Through insightful conversations, assessments, and planning a clear plan is laid out to move you and your student from college search to college enrollment.

Nicole’s knowledge, advising skills, and belief that there is a college for every student combine to guide your family through the process. All while she keeps your student’s interests at the forefront of her work.

A Focus on Expertise

This is your student’s college path, Walberg College Counseling is here to ease the stress. With a background in higher education and high school college advising, Nicole has seen “both sides of the desk”. This means she understands the puzzle pieces of timelines, forms, and resources that make up the scope of the college application process.

Beyond her professional background, Nicole is a military spouse and enjoys working with military affiliated families and veterans. She is familiar with the GI Bill and offers information and resources to help guide military families get the most out of their GI Bill benefits.

She is consistently building her knowledge base about colleges and universities. Each year, she tours campuses, meets with admission counselors and other paraprofessionals on campus, and explores the area surrounding schools to get a sense of what it is like to be a student there.

Additionally she attends conferences, and participates in professional development opportunities to stay on top of developments in the field. This builds her knowledge base to share deeper insight into the college application process than a guide book or website can provide.
